Saw an iPhone in the wild today, including watching the owner look up a contact and dial them. It looked as brilliant in real-world use as it does in the commercials.

Where’d you see it?
I think if I gave specifics, it wouldn’t be too hard to figure out who it was, and I don’t want to get anybody in trouble. The Apple employee who had it was pretty discrete, but it was a dimmed room, and the bright screen leapt out at me. And when I moved over a few feet to get a better look, they let me watch while they made a phone call. Very kind of them. So I don’t want to do anything that might cause them, or any of the other folks who are field-testing units, a problem.
