90% upgraded

I found myself unable to resist the draw of the cool. I had to go and upgrade to the latest version of WordPress.

Took me a little over an hour to do the majority of the work. I think most things work now, even if it’s not exactly completely the same as the 1.2 version. I still have a few plug-ins to add and test, and then add to the templates, to get everything back to where it should be. But all the hard stuff is behind me.

Let me know if anything seems wrong…

Hey, really clean! Where did you find this template? (I need to replace a fugly WP template on another site). Nice to finally have comments here. Radio… I barely new ye. Congrats on the upgrade.

Scot, it’s basically the default theme that comes with WordPress 1.5. If you’re stuck on 1.2, then you can use the Kubrick template. Originally developed as a template for WP 1.2 users, it became very popular and was adopted as the default in 1.5.

As you say, it’s lovely and clean. I fell in love with Kubrick the instant I saw it. I’ve added a fair number of tweaks, but they are all little changes here and there; overall it’s all Michael Heilemann’s work.

Ah… that explains it - I’m using WP 1.2 for status.birdhouse.org. I did find a nice replacement template for it though — now using “Human Condition.”
