Rochelle was the one who started the photo series, with a scream that we needed to stop. She’d spotted a marker from Salon Le Mesnil, probably the rarest of the markers we drove past, and wanted a picture. And with that, we were stopping every few miles, or hundred feet, to snap another photo.

Many of them are quite beautiful. We’ll be continuing to photograph these stones.
